Louis Van Gaal has his eye on a handful of transfer targets to help bring about the transfusion of talent Man Utd has sorely missed over the past two seasons. While they had a successful season in Sir Alex’s swan song they lost future talisman Paul Pogba. Pogba showed his class and skill in long flashes during the Brazilian hosted world cup.
So Van Gaal has demanded new blood and the money to acquire these players is no object. Ed Woodward is confident he can continue to bring in the talent Van Gaal has demanded. During this off season he has already brought in Southampton’s left back Luke Shaw and Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera to bolster a mid field ravaged by injury, age and in Pogba’s case neglect.
Matts Hummels, Daley Blind, Stefan de Vrij are all on Edwards list for this summer while Kevin Strootman is a winter target as the midfielder recovers from a serious knee injury.
As Always Van Gaal is in charge of every little detail including changing the surface of the training ground and having trees planted to reduce the wind effects on the players as they practice.
Even the summer travel plans for the United States tour will be altered for next summer as he complained about the amount of travel and jet lag on the players as he molds them into a team that can challenge for the top 4 in the premier league next year.
With his sights set on both now and the future it seems Manchester United’s future seems in good hands.
